Its versatile and will function efficiently in non-corrosive situations. This connector will operate at a maximum continuous temperature of +220°C. The wires inside it are housed between plates of protective thermocouple compatible material. A clamping screw will take fine wires through to stranded cables. The plugs round pins are iron positive and copper-nickel negative, and the sockets are supplied as in-line or panel mounting types and with rectangular or circular fascias. These types of Type J plug and socket thermocouple connectors contain iron, so you shouldnt use them in humid environments.
