Hirose 2 mm DF59 Series Multi-Functional SMT Receptacle Header Connectors. 2 mm DF59 Series Multi-Functional, high performance SMT receptacle header connectors with a compact space saving design and a low profile mating height of 2.48 mm. These header connectors are able to provide wire to board, board to board and short circuit pin connections to the PCB offering design flexibility. These DF59 SMT header connectors use a swing lock mechanism when used in wire to board connections which incorporates both positive and friction locks. A positive locking mechanism secures the header to the receptacle providing a tactile click when the lock is securely engaged. A complete electrical connection is then made by the friction lock mechanism which also produces a tactile click when fully engaged. This swing lock mechanism provides a secure connection and prevents accidental unmating caused by severe wiring and mechanical stress. The contacts of these DF59 series receptacle header connectors have a two point contact design for a reliable electrical connection. These DF59 SMT headers will mate with the DF59 Series male crimp housings, short circuit pin connectors and floating board to board connectors. Features and Benefits.
